Drafts are a low cost, convenient way of making non-urgent payments abroad, or non-urgent payments in euro within the United Kingdom. They are particularly useful if documentation or correspondence needs to be sent with payments.
You are not restricted to a minimum or maximum number of drafts, and they can be drawn for any amount in most currencies. Any conversion of currency will be at the exchange rate on the day of issue.
Bankers Drafts
Issued in sterling only and similar to a cheque but drawn by the bank, these provide near certainty that they will be paid on presentation. They are payable on demand to the named payee and are ideal for large sums of money, particularly where delivery of goods is concurrent.
